1999
CAD/CAM DESIGN
3D Studio Engineering was initially born as an industrial design studio with cad-cam software, after twenty-five years of experience of the founder, Cattalini Gianluigi, in the mold construction sector.
2000
FROM PROJECTS TO TOOLS
The company, in parallel with the cad-cam consultancy activity, designs and deals the ideal tools for the work paths of its customers.
2005
PRODUCTION OF MILLING CUTTERS
With the purchase of the first sharpening machines, the goal was achieved of making the designed hard carbide tools internally, without having to rely on external companies
2008
TOOLS PRODUCTION
With the purchase of lathes and grinding, spindles, stems (steli?), extensions and insert-holder heads began to be built internally.
2012
PRODUCTION REALITY INCREASE
The company, in continuous expansion, moves from Lumezzane (BS) to Villa Carcina (BS). The expansion of the structure and the purchase of new machines for the production of tools, corresponded to the increase in personnel in all departments: production, commercial, technical, administrative and logistics.
2014
PERFORMANCE AREA
3D Studio Engineering continues to invest about 20% of its turnover in research and development, further increases its structure and hires new staff. The “Performance Area” technical-demonstration area is born, a new department dedicated to business growth from a technical point of view, in order to grow the technical support service for its customers.
2015
ISO 9001 CERTIFICATION
Thanks to the ISO 9001 certification we have certified that the working method used is correct, moreover it has been a tool that has helped us to understand on which points we can still work. The quality certification is always constantly updated.
2017
WEB SERVICES
3D Studio Engineering introduces the possibility of accessing a reserved area where you can take advantage of various services: download updated catalogs, use of the “parameters” software and system of orders / requests for offers online.
2018
COOLING IVC SYSTEM
Thanks to the constant commitment in research and development, in December 2017 the company filed the patent of the “Inner Vortex Cooler” refrigeration system which allows total refrigeration of the cutter part of the tool, without the help of external refrigeration structure
2019
SPINDEL QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM
To guarantee its customers the maximum precision of ultra-performance spindles, 3D Studio Engineering has created an automatic measurement system which, in addition to controlling the values, is able to provide the video of this process. The customer therefore has the opportunity to choose the spindle after viewing the dimensional control of the same.
2020
MEDICAL UP DIVISION
From the experience of Ultra-Performance products, 3D Studio Engineering Crea Medical Up Division, the new line of tools for the medical sector. Born, based in Palazzolo S/O (BS), Medical Up Division area: a modern structure dedicated exclusively to tests, demonstrations and training. This new reality, strongly desired by 3D Studio Engineering, is made up of a large team of technicians-commercial and structured with new CNC machines for milling, equipped with avantgarde software, created specifically for this project
